Trump Has Been Constantly Undermining Democracy

Here’s a reminder of why we should get him out of office.

In just 6 months, President Trump, his administration, and the Republicans of the U.S. have caused over 230,000 COVID-19 deaths, more than the amount of American casualties there were during World War 1, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq wars combined. The president has left 545 immigrant children without parents at the border. Trump wants to get rid of the Affordable Care Act and endanger 23 million people who are covered by healthcare. He and the Republican party don’t respect the last wishes of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the greatest Supreme Court justice in American history, her last wishes being that she not be replaced until a new president was in office. He refused to denounce white supremacy and caused a firestorm of white supremacist uprisings. So why are 5% of voters still confused on who to vote for this election? 

If you want to know, then ask any independent voter you know. I want to focus on “enlightening” the independents. Trump has cost this country a mass grievance, and shows no sign of slowing down. I want to give independent voters a blast to the past on how Trump has grossly underestimated and mismanaged the coronavirus, and maybe give independents voters a clearer choice along the way in this election, which has already happened.

First of all, I want to remind you that in January, Trump was told that this virus was dangerous. But that same month, he said it wasn’t dangerous and was a hoax. Really? A hoax? Don’t believe that for a second. Look at this quote in a recent article from medium.com.  “Note: The Trump campaign claims that this marks the beginning of the federal government disease control experts becoming aware of the virus. It was 10 weeks from this point until the week of March 16 when Trump began to change his tone on the threat.” I remind you, this was in January. In January, almost NOBODY knew what would happen to our country, and the president was already lying about the scale of things. 

In February, once he kept repeating that only one person from China got the virus, he moved on to the next stage: denial. The whole month, he kept saying that “one day, it’s like a miracle, it will just disappear.” Man, and I thought this man’s brain couldn’t get any smaller!

In March, he finally started to admit COVID was contagious. But he still said he had control over the virus. At this point, I was about ready to pack my bags and go to any country that WASN’T America. I am sick and tired of this man’s idiocy! 

In April, once his theory that “the virus would be gone by now” was busted, he admitted that the virus was dangerous, but said, “If you have a flare-up in a certain area- I call them burning embers- boom, you put it out.” It’s not as easy as that. COVID spreads hella quick, so good luck trying to “put it out”. And good job referring to COVID as burning embers. It’s better than “Chinese Virus,” but not by much.

May wasn’t getting any better. Trump insisted that “we have prevailed.” Okay, Mr. President, I see you need some help. COVID is a dangerous virus. If around 935,235 people died from COVID up until May according to Jamanetwork, then that is not under control.

In June, Trump’s mouth seemed to be on a permanent loop. He kept saying that the pandemic would die down soon and that he would be correct and everyone would consider him a “good president”. Ai yai yai! This man, I have had ENOUGH! 

In July, life got worse with 4,000,000 cases nationwide and the Cheeto Monster still raged within the White House. This pumpkin man kept insisting that “I’ll be right eventually, it’s going to disappear.” My mind has shriveled, my heart has grown cold, and my soul has left for Japan, and you STILL say that this virus is fake?! (FYI, I’m perfectly fine, that was just a hyperbole.) 

In August with 5,000,000 cases in the US, Trump did NOT have a clue. He kept yammering on about how “…it will go away, thing go away, absolutely. No question in my mind, sooner rather than later.” Goodness gracious. At this point, I have run out of things to say about Trump’s incompetence. This is just idiotic.Let’s skip to October. On October 2nd, at 1 am, Trump tweeted that he tested positive for COVID. Personally, I jumped up and down for joy. Now he’ll understand! But on Monday he returned to the White House, jacked up on several steroids, and proclaimed he was much better. Oh. My. GOD. This is INSANE! This president went through a disease that he called a hoax and STILL says that it’s a regular flu!!!!!! Okay, I honestly gave up at this point.

And that brings us to November. Biden was declared president and my block FLIPPED. We were so happy, I told my neighbor’s caretaker and she screamed and danced around the balcony! I felt the same. When me and my dad went outside, we saw huge crowds celebrating Biden’s win. Somebody even dressed up as a witch and went out into the street, yelling into his microphone! But of course, Trump denied the win. He made Georgia do a manual recount, launched several lawsuits, and made several false claims that dead people were voting! Yeesh.

Trump has clearly destroyed this country and left it in shambles, with hundreds of brainwashed supporters following his every bidding. But our new president Biden will restore our country and banish this monster of a president back to where he came from. And this can only be done if YOU stand for Biden.
